Chip Jacob is a seasoned healthcare manager with significant experience leading the development of novel health technologies from concept to commercialization. He previously founded and led three start-up companies including Calcionics Corporation, a spin out of UW bioengineering developing cardiovascular therapeutics, Sangretech Biomedical LLC, a developer of autologous cancer immunotherapies, and Electra, Inc., a software distributor. He also served as Director of Corporate Strategy at one of the world’s leading independent institutional review boards where he focused on expansion opportunities and new lines of business. Earlier in his career Mr. Jacob was employed by Northwest Biotherapeutics, Inc. in a number of positions of increasing responsibility where he executed licensing agreements and helped to raise >$65 million and take the company public on the NASDAQ in 2001.
Mr. Jacob has served as a management consultant to emerging biomedical companies and other non-profit, institutional, and government clients. These include tenures as a grant reviewer with the Washington State Life Science Discovery Fund. Mr Jacob received his M.B.A. from the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington.Back to Team
